How To Upload Pictures to SMUGMUG
Go to www.flgchog.com
On the menu, click Photos
Now click on the Chapter Photo Album
A second window will open. Now click on the login link
The below Login screen will now come up
Enter into the email: webmaster@flgchog.com
with the password: ultra2008
and then click the Log In button
If your Log In was successful, you will see the below screen. After a few seconds, you will be sent back to the main screen.
Now click the Add Photos button
This will open the below menu, click on the New Gallery link
You may now enter the title of your picture gallery. Always start your title with the Month / Day / Year so it falls to the top of the list and then wording you want.
Example; if on July 4th, 2007 you made a ride to Solomon's Castle - you would enter
07/04/2007 - Solomon's Castle
This would insert the gallery into the correct spot within the other HOG pictures.
Select the category, subcategory, theme and make it public. I suggest subcategory set to NONE.
I would use the Internet Explorer Uploader, it seems to be the easiest.
The first time you use this routine, you may have to load an Active-X module, just click on the link and it will load automatically.
Now once the below screen opens up, open Windows' Explorer so you can see your picture files on your computer. Now take a drag and drop each file into the box below.
Once you have dragged and dropped your pictures, click the Upload button. The below screen will open showing the progress of your upload.
When all done, click the Your Photos at the top of the screen, check your gallery and make sure it looks okay. You can enter the SmugMug edit mode to make adjustments or to add other pictures.
A few things to keep in mind.
Do NOT password protect your pictures - all members need access to the pictures on the website.
Do NOT put pictures that may embarrass others, example, picking their nose, itching their crotch, etc.
